Supplier ESG requests and ratings preparation

Your customers keep asking for ESG information: questionnaires, EcoVadis, CDP, audits and tender criteria. We help suppliers and exporters build one body of evidence, answer once and reuse it, so each new request takes hours and not weeks.

Who this is for

  • Suppliers and exporters whose customers ask for ESG questionnaires, ratings or audits.
  • SMEs asked to complete an EcoVadis assessment or a CDP supply chain request.
  • Companies that answer each request from scratch and lose time every time.
  • Companies in sectors where large buyers screen their suppliers, such as automotive, textiles, electronics and food.

The questions did not stop with the Omnibus

The EU Omnibus narrowed who must publish sustainability reports and who must carry out due diligence. It did not remove the reasons customers ask suppliers for information. The new cap protects suppliers with up to 1,000 employees from some CSRD reporting requests only. It does not affect due-diligence, contract or risk-management requests.

Customers ask because of tenders that score suppliers, codes of conduct, customer audits and their own risk management. An assessment such as EcoVadis is based on a questionnaire and the documents you upload, so a weak folder gives a weak result even in a company that behaves well.

How we work

  1. 1

    Find out what is asked

We identify which questionnaire or assessment each key customer uses, why it asks (CSRD reporting or another reason) and by when.

  2. 2

    Take stock

We list the documents and records you already have against the main themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. We mark the gaps.

  3. 3

    Fill the gaps

We help write the missing core policies and procedures, with an owner and a date on each.

  4. 4

    Start the records

We set up the records that prove them: training logs, incident records, supplier checks, energy and fuel use and a greenhouse gas estimate.

  5. 5

    Build one evidence folder

We organise everything once so that it answers most requests, whether EcoVadis, CDP or a customer’s own questionnaire.

  6. 6

    Answer and reuse

We help you complete the first assessments, record your answers and keep them consistent across customers.

What you receive

  • A map of what each key customer asks for, and when.
  • A gap list against the main ESG themes, with priorities.
  • Draft core policies and procedures for the gaps, ready for your management to approve.
  • A records plan: which records to keep, who keeps them and how.
  • One organised evidence folder you can reuse.
  • A bank of reusable answers, so each new request is faster and consistent.

What we do not do

  • We cannot promise a score, a medal or a customer’s decision. EcoVadis medals depend on how your score compares with other rated companies, so nobody can tell you in advance which one you will get.
  • We are not affiliated with EcoVadis, CDP or any other rating provider.
  • We do not give legal advice on the Omnibus, CSRD or CSDDD. Check how each customer’s country is transposing the rules.

Common questions

Does the Omnibus mean customers will stop asking?

No. It narrowed who must report and carry out due diligence. It gave suppliers with up to 1,000 employees a right to refuse some CSRD-based requests that go beyond the voluntary standard for SMEs. It does not affect due-diligence, contract or risk-management requests, or tenders and audits.

What does an EcoVadis assessment look at?

You answer a questionnaire tailored to your company profile and upload supporting documents. The scorecard covers four themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The analysts work from your answers and documents.

Can you guarantee a medal?

No. Medals depend on your percentile compared with other rated companies, and a company needs at least 30 out of 100 in each of the four themes to be eligible. What you control is whether your documents exist, are current and show what you really do.

How long does a medal last?

A medal is valid for 12 months, the same period as the scorecard.
