Who we are

ANKAA Partners is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@ankaapartners.com for any question about this policy or your data.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message.
• ESG Readiness Check and CBAM Compass: your answers to the questions, which we also store without your name when you finish a check, to understand how the tools are used.
• Report request: your name, company name and email address, together with your answers and a summary of your result, when you ask for the written report.
• Report downloads: your name, company name and email address, and which report you asked for, when you ask for the full version of a downloadable report.
• Where you came from: the page that sent you to us and any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source), the language you chose and the page you were on. This is kept for your visit only, in your browser, and is saved with your answers if you complete a check.
• Technical data your browser sends to any website, such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider processes to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decisions about you. Your result is computed from your answers by fixed rules and reviewed by a person before any report is sent.

• To reply to your message and to prepare and send the report you requested (your request, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract).
• To contact you about your result and how we could help, since you asked for the report (our legitimate interest in following up a request you made).
• To understand and improve the tools and the site, using anonymous answers and visit sources (our legitimate interest).
• To keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interest).

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Google (Google Workspace, Sheets and Apps Script) to store the records described above and to send us the notifications and reports by email, a hosting provider to serve the website, Sanity (the content service where we write our articles and keep the downloadable reports, which holds no visitor data), and Google Fonts to load the typefaces. They process data on our instructions, or, for Google Fonts, receive your IP address when the page loads. Some of these providers are located outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area, and handle data under their own standard contractual or equivalent safeguards. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser keeps your light or dark theme preference, and a temporary note of where you came from for the length of your visit. These are not shared with third parties and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages and report requests for up to 24 months after our last exchange with you, then delete or anonymise them. Anonymous answers can be kept longer because they no longer identify anyone. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy of it, or to withdraw a consent you gave, by writing to contact@ankaapartners.com. We will answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Records are sent from our server to our storage over an encrypted connection and are only accessible to the ANKAA team. No system is completely secure, so please do not put sensitive personal information in your messages.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
